Vinum et Musica: mission accomplished!
A veritable celebration of wine and music, Vinum
et Musica, the second edition to be held in benefit of the Montreal
International Musical Competition (MIMC), took place this past October
11th under the honorary chairmanship of Mr. Pierre Brunet, O.C.,
FCA, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Caisse de dpt et
placement du Qubec and Montral International. The Organizing comeetee
was under the Presidency of Mr Paul T. Kefalas, Grand matre de la
Commanderie de Bordeaux in Canada.

This one-of-a-kind event in Montreal brought
more than 300 wine connoisseurs and enthusiasts to the majestic
setting of the CDP Capital Centre for the opportunity to bid on
some 30 large format Grand Cru wines available in magnum, double-magnum,
jeroboam, imperial, mathusalem, salmanazar and melchior bottles.
A hot bidding war ensued as the many participants vied for a piece
of the coveted treasure!
The exceptional success of this evening echoed
through economic, artistic and journalistic circles.
It is always a delight to spend an evening paying tribute to quality
wine. Tonight, we had an array of vintage wines before us and we
hope that, through our generous harvest, they will provide substance
and bear fruit for our young musicians..
