Steven Massicotte discovered the piano at a very early
age. As the First Prize winner of the Université de
Montréal’s 2010 concerto competition, last December, he
performed Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Concerto No. 2 in C
minor, Op. 18 with the university orchestra conducted by
Jean-François Rivest. Over the last few years, Steven
Massicotte has also taken part in several master classes
with such renowned pianists as André Laplante, Jacques
Rouvier, Anton Kuerti, and Jean Saulnier, and was a
recipient of grants from the Orford Arts Centre and the
Banff Centre.
