Born April 27, 1987


Steven Massicotte discovered the piano at a very early age. As the First Prize winner of the Université de Montréal’s 2010 concerto competition, last December, he performed Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Concerto No. 2 in C minor, Op. 18 with the university orchestra conducted by Jean-François Rivest. Over the last few years, Steven Massicotte has also taken part in several master classes with such renowned pianists as André Laplante, Jacques Rouvier, Anton Kuerti, and Jean Saulnier, and was a recipient of grants from the Orford Arts Centre and the Banff Centre.
