A Canadian citizen from South Korea, Younggun Kim first
studied in Seoul, then Edmonton and finally Toronto. In
October 2008, he made his debut with the Toronto
Philarmonia performing the Brahms First Piano Concerto.
The following season, he was invited back to play the
Rachmaninoff Second Concerto. He has also appeared in
many venues as soloist and in ensembles with musical
organizations in Toronto, including the Canadian Opera
Company, as well as in the Colours of Music Festival in
Barrie, Ontario.
