SELECTION PROCESS
Following a preliminary step, the Competition consists of
three rounds: quarter final, semi-final, and final. Candidates
must present a different programme for each of the rounds.
However, in the quarter final, semi-final, or final rounds,
candidates may repeat a work already performed as part of the
programme in the preliminary step.
Preliminary step
Three selection committees, appointed by Competition officials, choose the quarter finalists after conducting a blind audition of recordings and reviewing applications submitted by the candidates.
THE ROUNDS

Orchestre Métropolitain. Following the final round, the president of the jury will announce the names of the winners of the Montreal International Musical Competition.
