Canadian compulsory work

Each year, the Canadian compulsory work, at 5 minutes in duration, is commissioned by the MIMC from a Canadian composer. Announced a few weeks before the beginning of the Competition, the work is performed during the Quarter Final round by each of the candidates, who receive the score one month prior to the event.

The 2012 Canadian compulsory work will be an original composition by John Estacio.
