Biographical notes
One of the most highly respected
journalists and news anchors in Canada, Simon Durivage
has worked in the fields of radio and television for
several years as a reporter, host, interviewer, and
co-producer of news, current affairs, and public affairs
programmes.On Radio-Canada television, he has been seen
as the host of the shows Consommateurs avertis,
Le
Point, Montréal ce soir, and Enjeux. He is currently an
anchor and host on RDI en direct, Le club des ex, and
Le
Match des élus.
On Radio-Canada’s Première Chaîne radio
network, he hosted Présent and Montréal Express. A part
of his career was also spent on the TVA network, where
he was a respected anchor of the 10 o’clock news, and
took part in several co-productions including Les
grandes peurs de l’an 2000, Dans la peau, and
Un an plus
tard.
Lauded for his professionalism and his inquisitive
approach to a variety of subjects, Simon Durivage has
received a number of awards and distinctions including
two Métro Stars for Best News Anchor (2000 and 2002) and
the People’s Choice Award Personality of the Year
(2001). He is also the recipient of several Gémeaux
awards for Enjeux,Montréal ce soir, and
Le Point.
Simon Durivage has been MIMC official spokesperson since
2008.
