AWARD FOR THE BEST CANADIAN ARTIST: $5,000

AWARD FOR THE BEST PERFORMANCE OF THE IMPOSED CANADIAN WORK: $5,000

RADIO-CANADA PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD: $2,500
Benjamin BEILMAN, United States
MIMC GRANT: $2,000
Noah BENDIX-BALGLEY, United States
Jaeyoung KIM, South Korea
Kyoko YONEMOTO, Japan
REMEMBER THAT THE 3 MAIN WINNERS OF THE COMPETITION ARE:
FIRST PRIZE ($30,000): Benjamin BEILMAN, United States
SECOND PRIZE ($15,000): Korbinian ALTENBERGER, Germany
THIRD PRIZE ($10,000): Nikita BORISOGLEBSKY, Russia
Added to the First Prize are: The Career development programme, valued at $20,000, the recording of a CD offered by Analekta and a bow from Atelier Raffin, valued at $5,500.
ESPACE MUSIQUE, OFFICIAL BROADCASTER
Radio-Canada’s music radio network, Espace musique, is proud to be the official broadcaster of the Montreal International Musical Competition. New this year: all the rounds (Quarter finals, Semi-finals and Finals) were broadcast live, image and sound, on the Internet. The videos will be posted for one year at www.radio-canada.ca/musique.
In addition to these live broadcasts, the Final round will be heard internationally, thanks to Radio-Canada’s partnership with the European Broadcasting Union.
