77ADDITIONAL INFO
1- What do you like most about music? (Why did you
decide to become a violinist?)
Communication! With music, no words are needed. I
decided to be a violinist simply because I felt the
happiest when I was on the stage.
2- Which composers or what works are you particularly
drawn to? (What music would you bring with you to a
desert island?)
I have so many. Stravinsky, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Ravel,
Bartók, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, Brahms, Bach, etc.
3- Who are your favourite violinists (dead or alive)
and why?
I actually do not have a favourite violinist, but I like
most violinists for particular pieces. For example, I
love Maxim Vengerov’s Shostakovich Violin concerto,
Heifetz’s Scottish Fantasy, and I am in looove with Robi
Lakatos’ gypsy band stuff and Gidon Kremer’s Piazzolas.
4- What was your most intense musical moment
(positive or negative)?
Music in general is an intense experience for me:
playing solo with an orchestra, chamber music with my
awesome quartet, orchestra concert playing the Rite of
Spring, lessons, sonatas with many pianist friends...they
are all very intense and, in the same time, tremendous
amount of fun.
5- Do you have any hobbies or is there anything else
you would like to reveal about yourself?
I love swimming, reading, shopping, talking... I have
lots of hobbies and I love food.....yum.... |
