Lydia HONG

Lydia Hong began studying violin at the age of four. She has won numerous competitions, among them the Minnesota Orchestra Volunteer Association Competition, the Blount Young Artists Competition, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Joseph and Bessie Feinberg Youth Competition, the Music Teachers National Association Competition, and on three occasions was awarded first prize by the Society of American Musicians Competition and the Chinese Fine Arts Society Competition. She has played with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Minnesota Orchestra and has been featured on numerous radio stations. Also an accomplished chamber musician, she has received prizes from the Rembrandt Competition and the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition as a member of the Subito Trio. Lydia Hong is currently studying at the Juilliard School of Music with Itzhak Perlman and Donald Weilerstein.
