| A native of
Quebec, violinist Lucie Robert is a graduate of
the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal. She perfected
her training with the legendary Josef Gingold, under
whom she served as assistant at Indiana University. Over
the years, Ms. Robert has given more than 30
performances as a solo violinist with the Orchestre
symphonique de Montréal, Toronto Symphony Orchestra and
Mexico City Philharmonic. She has earned a reputation as
an accomplished recitalist and chamber musician
throughout North America, Europe and the Far East,
playing in such major cities as New York, London,
Chicago, Vienna, Seoul, Montreal, Toronto, and many
others. She has performed for the National Public Radio
network, CBC Radio Network, Radio-Canada and Radio
France, and received critical acclaim for her CD and
performance of Fauré and Saint-Saëns’ sonatas for
violin. Active on the summer festival circuit, Lucie
Robert has been a guest violinist at the Bowdoin,
Waterloo, Musicorda, Meadowmount, Orford and Scotia
festivals, as well as a member of the Texas Music
Festival at the Moores School of Music and the
Casalmaggiore International Festival in Italy. A
renowned teacher, she has often been called upon to give
master classes at various music schools throughout North
America and Asia. Currently teaching violin at the
Manhattan School of Music and Mannes College of Music in
New York, Ms. Robert has been a jury member for many
prestigious music competitions. Her students have won
numerous prizes in such international competitions as
the Indianapolis International Violin Competition, Young
Concert Artists and Sendai International Violin
