Violinist
Michael Frischenschlager began his career as a
soloist and chamber musician, playing concerts in
Europe, Asia and North America. He has been a professor
at the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in
Vienna, serving as its Chancellor from 1992 to 1996. As
a reputed teacher, he has given numerous seminars and
master classes all over the world and has served as a
jury member for many prestigious international violin
and chamber music competitions. Mr. Frischenschlager is
President of the Fritz Kreisler International Violin
Competition of Vienna and former head of the European
String Teachers Association. In 1990, he founded the
International Summer Academy Prague-Vienna-Budapest.
