She arrives at this year\u2019s competition with a passion for contemporary as well as traditional art song.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The American soprano was a 2021 winner of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont National Council Auditions New York District, after winning an Encouragement Award the previous year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Wohlgemuth can already claim some of opera\u2019s most coveted soprano roles, like Gretel in <em>H\u00e4nsel and Gretel<\/em>, Despina in <em>Cos\u00ec fan tutte<\/em>, and Tytania in <em>A Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream<\/em>.
