2022: Lauren Margison is known Canada-wide as a rising star to watch. The Toronto-born soprano was a young artist in residence with both the Canadian Opera Company and Op\u00e9ra de Montr\u00e9al, a Jeune Ambassadrice Lyrique, and the youngest-ever finalist of the ambitious <\/span>Die Meistersinger von N\u00fcrnberg Competition. Last year she won the Metropolitan Opera Laffont National Council Auditions Buffalo District.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Onstage, Lauren Margison has performed the roles of Mica\u00ebla in <\/span>Carmen<\/span><\/i>, Fiordiligi in <\/span>Cos\u00ec fan tutte<\/span><\/i>, and Mim\u00ec in <\/span>La boh\u00e8me<\/span><\/i>. During her time at the Canadian Opera Company, she shared the stage with Christine Goerke in the Company\u2019s production of <\/span>Elektra<\/span><\/i>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Between performances, Margison contributes to <\/span>Opera Canada magazine.<\/p>\n
