2022: Raised in Gatineau, soprano Sophie Naubert made a notable soloist debut with the Orchestre M\u00e9tropolitain at the age of 23, singing under conductor and Music Director of The Metropolitan Opera and the Orchestre M\u00e9tropolitain, Yannick N\u00e9zet-S\u00e9guin.<\/p>\n
Sophie Naubert studied at the Conservatoire de musique de Montr\u00e9al<\/em> before beginning a master\u2019s degree at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin. In 2021, she became a Jeune Ambassadrice Lyrique, took first prize in both the Sherbooke and Hal Leonard Music Competitions, and placed third in the OSM Competition.<\/p>\nAlongside operatic roles like Ilia in Idomeneo<\/em> and Belinda in Dido and Aeneas<\/em>, Naubert finds a vocal fit in art song. A composer herself, she wrote two works for voice and piano: Les trois moiti\u00e9s d\u2019une plan\u00e8te<\/em> and The Lost Child: A 12-Tone Serial Song<\/em>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
