Valentin Ruckebier is a member of the Ensemble at Deutsche Oper am Rhein, where his roles have included <\/span>Sagrestano in <\/span>Tosca<\/span><\/i>, Masetto in <\/span>Don Giovanni<\/span><\/i>, Zaretskij in <\/span>Eugene Onegin<\/span><\/i>, and Alessio in <\/span>La Sonnambula<\/span><\/i>, among others. <\/span>Recent performances also include Sarastro in <\/span>Die Zauberfl\u00f6te<\/span><\/i> for Egyptian National Opera in Cairo, and the role of Jesus in Bach\u2019s <\/span>St. John Passion <\/span><\/i>in Berlin and Leipzig. <\/span>Active as a lieder singer, he has performed Schubert\u2019s <\/span>Die <\/span><\/i>Sch\u00f6ne M\u00fcllerin<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>Winterreise<\/span><\/i> for the Liedforum K\u00f6ln.<\/span><\/p>\n

An award-winning composer, Valentin\u2019s opera <\/span>The Flight to Egypt<\/span><\/i> has been performed at the Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti in Modena, Italy, at the Landestheater Linz, Austria, and at the Serbian National Theater in Novi Sad. Valentin earned a master\u2019s degree at the Robert Schumann Hochschule D\u00fcsseldorf.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
