Biography 2019: At the age of 5, Johanna <\/span>Pichlmair<\/span>\u00a0was<\/span><\/span>\u00a0listening to a Beethoven violin concerto performed by David\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Oistrakh<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0T<\/span><\/span>hat event was the defining moment of her life, one that made her want to become a violinist. A year later, she was taking her first lessons with Alexandra\u00a0<\/span>Rappitsch<\/span>. At the age of 18, she was accepted at the\u00a0<\/span>Mozarteum<\/span>\u00a0University, in Salzburg, in the class of Igor\u00a0<\/span>Ozim<\/span>. In 2018, she received the First Prize at the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Ysa\u00ffe<\/span>\u00a0International Music Competition in Belgium.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Her solo career is in full bloom: she regularly performs as a guest with the Munich Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Nurnberg Symphony Orchestra, the Graz Philharmonic Orchestra and the German Chamber Orchestra of the South-West of Pforzheim. \u201cThis is my last year participating in a competition<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0I can\u2019t wait to give the best performance I can and to savour the moment.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/span>An e<\/span><\/span>ternal optimist, she managed to finance and acquire a Camillo Camilli made in 1734, an instrument she fell in love with.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
