I say this because today, all the violinists I heard were incredible virtuoso. I loved it! Lots of energy. The repertoire was great. They all played pieces that I absolutely love and play. I am always learning from these talented competitors. One of them actually played his own piece! I was very impressed. It’s pretty rare that a candidate plays his own composition in a competition. Genius composition! So complex and virtuosic. Afterwards I went to congratulate him and asked him some questions. I was curious to know how he memorised everything. It was a fairly long piece with lots of fast and difficult things the whole time. He simply said that when you are the composer, of course it will be a bit easier to memorise because you have a much better understanding of the music theoretically. Though he admitted that it was a very hard piece to memorise. I was truly impressed and inspired with all this today. Maybe one day I will compose my own violin piece! It’s something I really would love to do.”

Isabella

About Isabella Perron

Facebook Page

[2

post-1197","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-non-classe-en
["GET
