Sa prestation finale avec l&rsquo;Orchestre philharmonique de la radio n\u00e9erlandaise sous la direction de Christian Reif a \u00e9t\u00e9 salu\u00e9e comme \u00ab spectaculaire \u00bb par Volkskrant. Ce prix, qui comprend trois ann\u00e9es d&rsquo;engagements en concert, fait suite au premier prix du premier Concours international Liszt de New York en 2021, pour lequel il a re\u00e7u un premier r\u00e9cital enti\u00e8rement Liszt au Weill Recital Hall du Carnegie Hall.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Ses performances r\u00e9centes incluent une tourn\u00e9e de cinq concerts aux Pays-Bas. Il a \u00e9galement fait ses d\u00e9buts dans la s\u00e9rie Fazioli Concert Hall en Italie, au Festival Chopin de Nohant en France, \u00e0 l&rsquo;American Liszt Society \u00e0 New York et \u00e0 la Florida Keys Concert Association ; sans compter des engagements d\u2019autres concerts au Rome Chamber Music Festival en Italie, au Aspen Music Festival au Colorado et au Moab Music Festival dans l&rsquo;Utah.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Derek est titulaire d&rsquo;un baccalaur\u00e9at et d&rsquo;une ma\u00eetrise en musique de la Juilliard School, o\u00f9 il a re\u00e7u une bourse Kovner et le prix Joseph W. Polisi pour avoir illustr\u00e9 les valeurs de l&rsquo;\u00e9cole en mati\u00e8re d&rsquo;artiste en tant que citoyen. Ses principaux professeurs \u00e9taient Stephen Hough, Yoheved Kaplinsky et Matti Raekallio.
