Postponement of the 19th edition of the Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM)
March 17, 2020 - Following the Quebec Premier’s official announcement banning public gatherings of more than 250 people and, more recently, the announcement of the closing of Canadian borders in order to curb the spread of COVID-19, the Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM) is obliged to postpone its 19th edition, scheduled for May 4 to 13, 2020.
VIOLIN 2019: ALEXANDER SHELLEY MAKES CMIM AND OSM DEBUT
Alexander Shelley, Music Director of the National Arts Center Orchestra, makes his debut with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM) at the 2019 Violin edition of the Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM).

Voice 2018 Art Song finalists
Late Friday evening, June 1st, Zarin Mehta, president of the jury, announced the names of the four singers advancing to the Art Song final of the 2018 Voice edition of the Concours musical international de Montréal, which will take place at Bourgie Hall on June 3 at 3 pm.

Late Tuesday evening, May 29, Zarin Mehta, president of the jury, announced the names of the eight singers advancing to the art song semifinal of the 2018 Voice edition of the Concours musical international de Montréal. The Art Song semifinals will take place at Bourgie Hall on June 1 at 3 pm and 7:30 pm.

Piano 2017: Tribute to André Mathieu
To honour the work of Montreal pianist and composer André Mathieu, the CMIM’s administrators have chosen Laurentienne No. 2 as the compulsory Canadian work for candidates in their semifinal recital.
