TWELVE COLLABORATIVE PIANISTS VIE FOR SPECIAL AWARD

Voice 2018 will not only reward singers but pianists as well! The prizes, awards, and grants totaling $265,000 include the $10,000 ‘John Newmark’ Award for the best collaborative pianist. With this award, the CMIM pays tribute to one of the greatest accompanists of his generation and recognizes collaborative pianists’ contribution to the competition. Pianists born on or after January 1, 1983 are eligible for this award. Thank you to Richard Lupien, a pianist and improviser himself and a member of the Board of Directors of the CMIM and its foundation, for offering this $10,000 award.
