Canadian Works
The Concours musical international de Montréal proudly continues its commitment to promoting music by composers from Quebec and Canada, amplifying their visibility on the local and international stage.
For the 2026 edition, all competitors were required to include a Canadian work in their Semifinal program. The works were either chosen freely or selected from a curated list compiled by the Concours, reflecting the richness, diversity, vitality, and excellence of Canadian musical creativity.
This requirement has allowed 12 works by 10 Canadian composers to be featured in the programming for the 2026 edition of the Concours.
