Montreal, May 20, 2014 — The Montreal International Musical Competition (MIMC) announces that the international jury—made up of Mr. François Dompierre (Canada), also President of the jury, Mr. Bruno Fontaine (France), and Ms. Gabriela Montero (Venezuela)—has chosen Mr. Serhiy Salov, from Ukraine, as the Grand Prize winner of the first edition of the Richard Lupien Improvisation Prize, which was held this afternoon in Tanna Schulich Hall at McGill University.
