Alongside the competition rounds, the Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM) will be offering a variety of activities for violin enthusiasts, and those who want to discover more about the beauty and wonder of this fascinating instrument. 

Montréal, March 8th, 2023 - Le Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM) is delighted to announce the imposed Canadian work for the Violin 2023 edition, by Canadian- American composer Luna Pearl Woolf.

Thursday, February 23, 2023 – The Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM) announces the retirement, this coming May, of Ms. Christiane LeBlanc, Executive and Artistic Director of the CMIM and its Foundation since 2012.

Montréal, February 2, 2023 – The Concours Musical international de Montréal reveals its selection of the world’s most outstanding violinists of the new generation. These 24 candidates have been invited to participate in the CMIM Violin edition, taking place from April 22 to May 4, 2023.

Montreal, November 7, 2023 – The CMIM is proud to unveil its international jury for Violin 2023. During this 21st edition, the eminent members of this international jury will listen to and evaluate the performances of 24 of the world’s most talented young violinists.

Montreal, October 11, 2022 –  Maestro Rafael Payare, will conduct the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal (OSM) for the finals of Violin 2023.

Montreal, September 22, 2022 – Pianist Su Yeon Kim will be making her Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM) debut, on September 28 and 29, 2022.

Montreal, June 10, 2022 – Earlier at Maison symphonique, the audience and the international jury of Voice 2022 attended the Aria Grand Finale of the Concours musical international de Montréal (CMIM). After the performance, the jury members met one final time to deliberate and determine the winners of the Art Song and Aria divisions of Voice 2022.

Montreal, June 7, 2022 – Following the last performance of the Aria Semifinal, the CMIM’s prestigious jury once again took on the task of determining the five Finalists who will move onto the Aria Final. The draw then determined the order in which they will perform.
